Terms and Conditions

Please read the following Terms and Conditions of the Safari4u Veterinary Program carefully before submitting your online application. By clicking on the box beside the words ‘I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions’ in the online application form, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 

Booking Process

1.    Each applicant must submit an online application at www.safari4uvet.com.

2.    The applicant will then receive an email confirming that Safari4u has received the application.

3.    If accepted, the applicant will be contacted by our Program Director within two (2) business days to confirm their departure date and duration of stay.

4.    In this email, there will be a link to submit their deposit which is required to confirm their booking with Safari4u. Each week has limited space, therefore, participants are added on a first-come, first-served basis, in the order that their deposit is received.

5.    Once the deposit is submitted, the applicant will receive information about booking flights, arranging airport pick-up, planning vaccinations and more.

6.    Our Program Director will be available for 24/7 email support to answer all pre-departure questions and concerns.

*Program Fees may change without notice. The applicant will be subject to the fee advertised at the time of application. 

 

Program Itinerary

Weekly itineraries are planned one week in advance and are subject to change without notice. Wildlife, large animal, and small animal elements are all covered within a 2 week period, however daily activities and individual species vary. Each participant is offered at least 1 game capture day per week, on average. For example, a participant that signs up for a 4-week program will have at least 4 days of game capture within that period. Game captures may be scheduled on weekends; in those cases, students may choose to forfeit their game capture day for free time.

 

Meals & Dietary Requirements

Three meals per day are included in the Program Fee. Participants must notify Safari4u of any special dietary requirements so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

 

Flights & Visas

Once your booking is confirmed with Safari4u, our dedicated STA Travel representative will contact you to start planning your personal itinerary. As a travel expert, our STA rep can also help with travel insurance and local excursions before, during (weekends are free time!) or after your session. Airport transfers are included in the Program Fee and arranged by Safari4u on Mondays but transfers may be arranged on other days of the week for an additional fee.

All participants are responsible for ensuring that their travel documents are up to date and valid for travel. Citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many other countries get a free, automatic, 90-day visitor permit upon arrival in South Africa. Participants are responsible for checking their visa requirements before departure; please visit this page to find out if you need to apply for a visa prior to entry.

 

Insurance

Safari4u requires all participants to secure medical insurance for the duration of their program. If the participant has a domestic medical insurance policy, they must ensure that it includes overseas coverage. If the participant does not have medical insurance that includes overseas coverage, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. The participant is responsible for submitting proof of medical insurance to Safari4u no later than 30 days prior to departure.

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy

The full Program Fee is due on or before 30 days prior to the participant’s departure date. If the full Program Fee is not received 30 days prior to departure, the participant may be considered for cancellation (unless prior arrangements have been made with Safari4u).

Cancellation must be sent via email (no verbal cancellations will be accepted). A cancellation fee (determined by the number of days prior to the participant’s departure date that the written cancellation notice is received) will be incurred:

All participants who cancel their program after submitting a deposit will be issued a voucher for the amount not refunded valid within two (2) years of the originally scheduled departure date.

Program arrangements require Safari4u to make financial commitments on the participant’s behalf prior to arrival; therefore, any participant who leaves the program with one or more weeks remaining will not be refunded any portion of their Program Fee. However, they will be permitted to complete the remainder of their program within two (2) years. Safari4u cannot assume responsibility for any participant once they have left the supervision of the Safari4u program staff. This policy includes any participant required to leave for medical or personal reasons (injury/illness or family crisis). Participants who leave the program due to medical or personal reasons should consult their travel insurance provider, which may provide partial or full recovery of their Program Fees, depending on the reason for leaving.

Every reasonable effort will be made to operate the program as planned; however, should unforeseen events and conditions require our itinerary to be altered or canceled, Safari4u reserves the right to do so for the safety and best interest of the participants. If such issues arise and Safari4u is forced to cancel one or more weeks, a full refund will be issued.

 

Photo Release

Safari4u reserves the right to use any photos or videos posted on the Safari4u Veterinary Program Facebook page, or taken by Safari4u staff, during or after the program, for promotional purposes.
